White House Summit Update & Invitation

April 28, 2026 · by jeff

It was a rewarding and encouraging Summit on Addiction and Mental Health in Homelessness at the White House. We spent 2 days focused on narrowing the Best Practices that we all agreed on and compiling them into a tool kit that will be disseminated nation-wide. We also spent several evenings socializing with both the experts and politicians, building relationships that will bring great value to our future.

We were able to give and receive amazing ideas for effective and efficient strategies and the Rhombus Model was well received. We will continue the engagement by visiting other locations around the US and having people from across the US come to tour our location.

Representatives from HUD, SAMHSA, HHS, and ONDCP continue to engage regarding ECTLC, the San Diego Taxpayer Association reports, The Rhombus Model, and future funding opportunities. This amazing opportunity will result in grant opportunities.

You are personally invited to join me for a Post-White House meeting to go over the main components that were covered, what the next steps are, and the pros and cons that could come to San Diego from the changes at the federal level. We will have time for networking and Q & A and continue the collaboration to bring better systems for San Diego to significantly decrease street homelessness.

Please RSVP and come with your questions and creativity.
